GSI Meridian is looking to recruit associate lawyers and legal interns to join our highly reputable corporate department. 

• Bachelor’s degree in law with bar admission
• LL.M. degree from a leading law school is preferred
• For the associate lawyers: Minimum 3 years of professional experience
• Knowledge and experience in privatization, M&A, general corporate work with an emphasis on the Turkish Commercial Code, Code of Obligations
• Energy, infrastructure law experience is a an asset
• Contract drafting skills, particularly project finance, joint venture, and shareholders’ agreements and similar documents
• Experience in drafting EPC contracts, general credit/loan agreements is a plus
• Strong proficiency in spoken and written Turkish and English
• High organizational skills and flexibility
• Strong follow-up, timeliness and analytical skills
• Good personal organization/planning skills

Selected candidates will be responsible for:
 

• Drafting, negotiating and executing all types of commercial contracts
• Providing legal advice on different types of commercial law issues
• Conducting legal research
• Following new legislation, providing legal advice on draft laws
• Conducting project due diligence
• Conducting daily corporate work, including organizing general assembly meetings
