The GSI Meridian banking and finance team provides legal assistance for our clients on a wide range of matters, representing issuers, sellers and servicers of collateral assets, collateral managers, underwriters and institutional purchasers in a variety of structured finance transactions. We have also been involved in a variety of securities deals, representing financial services in debt and equity offerings in Turkey and in international markets. Our attorneys provide up to date regulatory and risk management advice to our clients.

We work with both borrowers and lenders on lending transactions, assisting financing sources (including domestic and international banks, institutional lenders and multinational agencies) and borrowers in construction financing, acquisition financing and refinancing of energy and other infrastructure projects in Turkey. We represent both borrowers and domestic and international financial institutions and institutional lenders as arrangers, agents and lenders in connection with refinancing, restructurings, and recapitalizations.

GSI Meridian lawyers also draft Islamic finance documentation. The GSI Meridian banking and finance team understands the conventional and religious legal principles governing Islamic finance, evolving financing techniques and the primary factors fostering and affecting the developments in this fast-changing sector. This knowledge base allows us to provide current legal advice on a broad range of nuanced issues that arise during the structuring phase of any transaction.
