The case is as stated below.

Es-Seyyid Mehmed Sadık, a military distributor (of inheritance) of the Caliphate.

Resident of the Cerrahpaşa Madrasah of Istanbul City, Salim Baba Efendi (son of Abdurrahman) came to the said madrasah, made a contract before a court of Sharia in the presence of Muslims who gathered in the corner room [of the madrasa] and declared and stated in the presence of Osman Ağa (son of Mehmet), the legal representative of Moravi Habibe Hatun (daughter of Mehmet) who resides by the Zulali Fountain of Sarıkız Neighborhood in the aforementioned city, that;

I sold and transferred the house (of which I was holding the possession and the right of use until this contract was made) that is in Mustafa Bey neighborhood which is in the vicinity of Sultan Mehmet Han the Conqueror Mosque and situatedby the house of munificent Rushdi Efendi, a Kadiasker (a high ranking military judge) and member of the Council of Ministers of War and next to the house of Fatıma Hatun, the wife of the honey-seller Mustafa Ağa, and occasionally Nimetulah Hatun on one side, and the house which is being used by the inheritors of the late Osman Efendi and occasionally the mason rooms of Hajji Ali Efendi, a scribein the office of the Provost, on one side, and bounded by the public road onfour sides, and contains three big rooms and a sofa and a lavatoryand ablution-area in the inner part, a room and lavatory and ablution area in the middle and a kitchen and a garden of trees with and without fruits on the ground floor and a…and a…, and a coal cellar and a toilet and in the bottom of the inner garden another room, an ablution area, a lavatory and cellar and stone-built cellar and a street gate in the outer garden, together with all its ancillaries and additions and all its rights and easements, to the aforementioned client Habiba Hatun with a firm sale contract, which covers the offer and acceptance of the related parties without any corrupting stipulation, in return for 32,500 quruş; and having accepted the sale and undertaken the possession [of the house], she has paid the agreed amount of 32,500 quruş in full in advance. Having collected [the payment] in full and completely from her, and confirming the cancellation of debt, I discharged her from all possible lawsuits and challenges in connection with cheating and fraudulent claims related to the purchased house. And after the aforenamed representative approved my statement of discharge, I said that I have by no means any connection or relation with the described house and area and [it] became the purchased property and right of Habiba Hatun. She can use it as she wishes.

After the legal approval of the occurrence, it was recorded upon request on the 27th of the month of Shavval, 1265.

Witnesses: Hodja Ahmet Efendi, Mehmet Reşit Efendi, Hajji Mehmet Said Efendi; from the madrasa teachers Hüseyin Hilmi Efendi and Hüseyin Kâzım Efendi; and the Head Guard Mehmet Ağa. Registry no: 5491. 26 Rajab,1288/29 September, 1287 (October 11, 1871)
